New Senior Vice President, Group Finance in Boliden

Staffan Bennerdt has been appointed new Senior Vice President Group
Finance in Boliden AB. He will take up his post no later than June 2004.

Staffan Bennerdt is 49 years old and comes to Boliden after having held
the position of Finance Director at NCC. His main responsibilities will
be financial matters, loan agreements and Treasury. He will be a member
of the executive management and report to the CEO.

Jan Öhman, Senior Vice President Group Controlling will be responsible
for group controlling and group accounting. Jan Öhman is already a
member of the executive management and reports to the CEO.

 -        A financially larger and stronger Boliden has been created
 after the completion of the transaction with Outokumpu. We have
 therefore decided to split the financial organization into two separate
 functions in order to take full advantage of the new opportunities
 presented by the transaction, says Jan Johansson President and CEO of
