Evacuation of Garpenberg mine completed

On Thursday afternoon, there was smoke development at 850 meters depth in the Garpenberg mine. 130 employees who were underground were evacuated in accordance with routines to the rescue chambers. Once the situation was determined safe, all employees were transported above ground. The smoke development was caused by a work machine, and an investigation will be initiated. Underground production is expected to resume shortly. Production in the concentrator was not affected.
