Evacuation of Garpenberg mine completed

On Friday morning, smoke was detected at 700 meters depth in the Garpenberg mine. 116 employees who were underground were evacuated in accordance with routines to the rescue chamber. After the smoke emission was determined to be minor, all personnel were transported above ground. No one has been physically injured. The source of the smoke is not yet known, and an investigation has been initiated. Underground production is expected to resume at 18:00 on Friday, while production in the enrichment plant is not affected.
