Boliden divests land area in Ireland

Boliden has divested a land area adjacent to the Tara zinc mine in Ireland. The land area is of no relevance for the mining operations. The land sale amounts to approximately EUR 20.3 million and Boliden will realize a capital gain of approximately EUR 16.3 million after tax. The capital gain will be accounted for during the third quarter 2004.
